Who we are
This site is run by Good Goods Group Limited (Good Goods), which holds the personal information described here. You can reach us at sales@goodgoods.co.nz or 09 242 4900.
What we collect
We only collect what we need to quote, supply and deliver the products you ask for.
When you ask for a quote, place an order or ask a question
- your name, company, email address and phone number
- the project name or site address, the region, and when you need the goods
- your list or brief, and any drawings or photos you upload
You can leave out the optional fields. We need a name and an email address to reply, and a site address to quote freight and deliver.
When you buy from us
Delivery and billing details, what you ordered, and the invoices and payments that go with it.
When you call or email us
What you tell us, and our replies.
Plans you send may include other people's details, such as the owner or the designer. Only send what we need to price the job.
Information from other people
Sometimes we get information about you from someone else: a builder, architect or owner who sends us your details with a job, or a credit reporting agency or trade referee if you ask to buy on account (as clause 8 of our terms of trade allows). When that happens we'll tell you that we have it, where it came from and why, unless the law says we don't need to, for example because you already know.
How we use it
- to answer your question, prepare your quote or design fee proposal
- to process and deliver your order, including freight quotes and arranging carriers
- to invoice you, collect payment and keep the records the law requires
- to help with warranty claims or technical questions about a product
- to let you know about products or changes that affect a job you've quoted with us
We only send marketing emails if you've agreed to them, and every one has a way to unsubscribe.
What stays on your device
Your basket, the figures you enter in the estimator and your GST display choice are saved in your own browser so they're still there when you come back. They aren't sent to us unless you send your basket or a quote request. You can clear them at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.
This site doesn't use tracking cookies or advertising trackers, and we don't use analytics tools that identify you.
How long we keep it
We keep quote requests and project correspondence for as long as they're useful for the job and any follow-up, such as warranty questions. We keep invoices and order records for seven years, as tax law requires. After that we delete information or make it anonymous.
Keeping it secure
Only the people at Good Goods who need your information can see it, and our systems use passwords and encrypted connections. If a privacy breach is likely to cause someone serious harm, we'll tell the people affected and the Privacy Commissioner, as the law requires.
Seeing or correcting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. Email sales@goodgoods.co.nz. We'll reply within 20 working days. There's no charge.
Concerns and complaints
If you have a concern about how we've handled your information, contact us first and we'll try to put it right. If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if the way we handle information changes, for example if we add an online payment or analytics service. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
